Blood Disorders (Hematology)

The specialists in the Division of Hematology are dedicated to the care and treatment of patients with disorders of the blood and blood-forming organs. These disorders include anemias, bleeding and clotting disorders, bone marrow failure, essential thrombocythemia, hemoglobinopathies, myelodysplasia, myelofibrosis, chronic leukemia, polycythemia vera, sickle cell cisease, thrombocytopenia, and thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura.  Johns Hopkins laboratories are also equipped to provide a variety of interpretations of coagulation tests.
