Amcare Labs Malaysia

Amcare Labs Malaysia, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins International Laboratories, became operational in the first half of 2003.  Anatomical Pathology, Cytopathology and Molecular diagnostics services are now offered by this facility to Malaysia and neighboring countries. Dr. Dorothy Rosenthal initiated the liquid based cytopathology service in September 2003 and gave a public lecture and a professional presentation to the physicians.  Ms. Kelly Rice Parker, Medical Technologist from the Department of Pathology, spent two months in Kuala Lumpur setting up the molecular diagnostic service.
